The Great Chick-Fil-A Sauce crisis of 2021 has some of the crazier members of the GOP freaking out.  It's always an American sport to blame whoever the current president is for any particular woe, whether hizonner had anything to do with the problem or not.  Democrats do it to Republicans. The GOP does it to Democrats. Just normal, stupid politics.  Sometimes, though, the stupidity rises to a whole new level. Introducing the Great Chick-Fil-A Sauce Crisis of 2021. Apparently, there are industry-wide shortages of some condiments, forcing Chick-Fil-A to limit sauce packets to a starvation level one sauce per entree, two sauces per meal and three sauces er 30-count nuggets. Randy Rain   Randy Rainbow is gracing our YouTube viewing again today with yet another video.   This time he takes to task all those GOPers in Congress who still are in the cult of Donald Trump by doing a takeoff on the " The Trolley Song" from the 1944 musical "Meet Me In St. Louis," starring Judy Garland.    This new version stars an ensemble cast consisting of Randy Rainbow, Randy Rainbow, Randy Rainbow, and others including the treasured Randy Rainbow.  You'll see what I mean when you watch the video.  As usual, Rainbow starts the festivities with a "news interview, in which our interviewer notes that Josh Hawley is "the most famous fist in the Senate if you don't count Lindsay Graham, but that's another story." One of the worst Congress creatures in the U.S. is  even hated by his own siblings.  Arizona Republican Congressman Paul Gosar might be kind of popular with the Trumpian, frankly rather wacko wing of the party, but it's pretty certain many of his relatives won't help him with any re-election campaign.   I've seen ambivalent family members of politicians before.  But this family is downright hostile. In my opinion, pretty justifiably.   Gosar helped spread false conspiracy theories about the November, 2020 election and was one of the main organizers of the January 6 "Stop The Steal" rally that turned into the insurrection at the Capital. He also recently skipped voting on the $1.9 trillion Covid relief bill so he could attend an extreme right wing political event that was organized by white nationalist Nick Fuentes. A new Me Decade? I'm writing off the jerks.  Matt Walsh is the repugnant, smug sort of fellow who says things like the gun ownership is a more important right than voting and that it should be easier to buy a gun than to vote.  He's an idiot who I don't normally pay much attention to. I mean, why even bother? But this fairly recent tweet from Walsh for some reason stopped me in my tracks: "Got on an elevator without a mask. Guy with his wife demands I put one on. I say I don't have it, but you'll be fine, calm down. He stops the elevator and storms off, calling me 'disrespectful.' It's true. I am. I am not going to respect your paranoia. Get a grip." Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to be one of  Congress' most visible train wrecks.   Poor little Marjorie Taylor Greene, that nutjob Congress creature from Georgia who is a big QAnon fan, among other things.    She's had a rough go of it lately, but she keeps fighting on. So the update: The latest go arounds started a little over a week ago, when Greene informed us that Guam is a foreign country and demanded we stop sending them damn fereners money. To put Greene's February 27 quote out there:  " We love our country, we believe our hard-earned tax dollars should just go for America, not for, what, China, Russia, the Middle East, Guam, whatever, whatever. Right?" Wrong.  As pretty much everybody else on the planet knows, no matter what you think about overseas spending by America, Guam is part of the United States. Been that way since 1899. One of my favorite songs from the 1970s was " Killer Queen" by Queen.  I'm often, but not always happy when  some of my faves are turned into something else for parody. In this case, I'm happy.   Anybody who knows me understands I'm a real Covid-19 vaccine enthusiast, and I can't wait for my turn to get inoculated. Right wingers like Brazil's Jair Bolsonaro aren't affected by talk of saving lives and morality in battling Covid. For people like this, try threatening their power and money to get them to change course.  Brazil's jerk of a president, Jair Bolsonaro,  is even worse than Trump was at making the Covid pandemic worse.  The situation has grown dire.  Live by the sword, die by the sword. Moderate Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger  received a very bizarre letter from members of  his Trump cult family after the rep voted for impeachment. The cult holds strong.   "The Former Guy," as President Joe Biden famously described ex-president Trump, still holds a mysterious power over true believers. Norway, in a hilarious response to a Superbowl ad about American EVs, is sorry, not sorry about their advantagesl One of the ads that played during the Super Bowl was one that starred Will Ferrell touting General Motors' growing line of electric vehicles, better known as EVs.   Norway almost immediately, and hilariously clapped back with their own video .
