Video still of an idiot who took a 2 year old into an elephant enclosure at San Diego Zoo and they both almost got  smushed by said elephant  Invasion of the stupid people continues unabated.  The latest idiot, carrying his two-year-old daughter, went into an elephant enclosure at the San Diego Zoo, because apparently, taking selfies with an innocent child in an extremely dangerous situation is a thing.  People want selfies under any circumstance, I guess.  Needless to say, the elephant in question was not happy with the intruder. They like their space. The elephant trumpeted and stormed toward our idiot, says ABC7 in Los Angeles. "The flustered dad raced to slip back out of the enclosure, but dropped his daughter on the way out.....He grabbed her again and they both managed to escape as the crowed screamed and yelled "Watch out!" This reporter for a San Diego television station has to quickly switch gears when a gunfight between a man and police  erupted nearby.  Jeff McAdam, a reporter for Fox 5 in San Diego was giving a live report about the cancelation of this year's Comic-Con when off screen, gunfire rang out.   He gamely tried to carry on with his report, and suddenly realized there was a much bigger story unfolding nearby.  McAdam's cameraman panned over to show a man ducking behind his car, exchanging gunfire with police.  I give props to McAdam for staying calm and shifting gears on this new, breaking story.  It went like this.  ".....every year during the Comic-Con, um, there's something going on. We've got an officer-involved shooting.  Excuse me if we can come back out live, there's a shooting going on right now between an officer and a car they just pulled over." McAdam's tone of voice did not change during this. Seemed as benign as if he were still talk...
