Mean And Dumb: GOP/Conspiracy Nuts Escalate Their Cruelty. Stupidity, Cultishness
Moderate Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger received a very bizarre letter from members of his Trump cult family after the rep voted for impeachment. |
"The Former Guy," as President Joe Biden famously described ex-president Trump, still holds a mysterious power over true believers.
That Trump cult lives on strong as ever.
I'll never understand how people continue to regard that third time grifter as a messiah. And how people can sink so low into stupidity and cruelty to almost comic depths.
I still can't get over the fact-free cult following, and it seems like it will never get dislodged. I'll never understand people, I guess.
Any dissent against the Great Orange One is the absolutely most abhorrent crime in this cult.
Seven U.S. Republican Senators voted to impeach former President Trump last month. All of them are getting immense blowback. How dare they speak ill of their god Trump! Most were censured by their state GOP cultists.
Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, who also voted in favor of Trump's impeachment ,had an even wilder experience. I decided this one as is over the top as they come, but I'm sure some cultists will outdo themselves.
Kinzinger recently received a truly bizarre hate letter written by his cousin Karen Otto and signed by 11 of his relatives.
"Oh, my, what a disappointment you are to us and to God!....You have embarrassed the Kinzinger family name!", the letter begins with a nutty flourish.
To the relatives, Kinsinger's dissing of Trump "goes against your Christian principles and (joining) the 'devil's army' (Democrats) and the fake news media."
The Kinzinger relatives graciously conceded Trump isn't a perfect man but he should not be judged, they wrote, as they also spent two pages judging Kinsinger and well, embarrassing the Kizinger family name with every word in that kooky letter.
The handwritten letter for some reason Kinzinger should be particularly ashamed of himself for going against the shining people on Fox.
According to the letter: "You should be very proud that you have lost the respect of Lou Dobbs, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Greg Kelly, et. and most importantly in our book, Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh and us!"
Just days after this letter appeared, Limbaugh died, going to his grave hating on Kinzinger, I'm sure. As for the other people on that list, anyone in their right mind would be honored to have lost the respect of that Fox clown car.
In addition to the letter sent via certified mail to Kinzinger’s father so as to guarantee the congressman saw it, Otto, the goofy lead writer of the letter, reportedly sent copies to Republicans across Illinois, telling the New York Times, “I wanted Adam to be shunned.”
Of course, anyone in their right mind would shun the people who signed that letter and not Adam Kinzinger, but that's just me I guess.
For his part, Kinzinger said, "I hold nothing against them, but I have zero desire or feel the need to reach out and repair that. That is 100 percent on them to reach out and repair and quite honestly, I don't care if they do or not."
Good!
The state GOP parties that are censuring the pro-impeachment Senators are almost as bizarre as the Kinzinger family letter writers.
I'm just not sure what this will get them. Yes, the rabid base of the Republican Party is all Trump, all the time, so the local Republican parties must follow suit? I don't know.
I imagine some of this is just due to ignorance. Another big chunk of the trouble is surely because racist among them, fighting demographic changes, are horrified by the rising political power of Black leaders, and that the nation is turning less white with time.
The rich grifters in the GOP, Trump chief among them, can scare people into believing Antifa, AOC, and God knows who else is coming after them. Fear makes people behave irrationally, and lord knows there''s a sucker born every minute.
It's just too bad so many suckers buy this crap.
