U.S. Congressman Gets Voted Down By His Siblings, Again

One of the worst Congress creatures in the U.S. is 
even hated by his own siblings. 
Arizona Republican Congressman Paul Gosar might be kind of popular with the Trumpian, frankly rather wacko wing of the party, but it's pretty certain many of his relatives won't help him with any re-election campaign.  

I've seen ambivalent family members of politicians before.  But this family is downright hostile. In my opinion, pretty justifiably.  

Gosar helped spread false conspiracy theories about the November, 2020 election and was one of the main organizers of the January 6 "Stop The Steal" rally that turned into the insurrection at the Capital.

He also recently skipped voting on the $1.9 trillion Covid relief bill so he could attend an extreme right wing political event that was organized by white nationalist Nick Fuentes.

Gosar's siblings are unimpressed. So unimpressed that they put out a video condemning their brother. 

"He should have criminal consequences...And if he's found guilty, he should go to jail," brother Tim Gosar said. 

"There is no one member of Congress more responsible for the attack on the Capitol than Congressman Paul Gosar," his sister said in the ad. 

The siblings say their brother should be expelled from Congress for his role in the attempts to overturn the results of the November, 2020 election. 

This is at least the second time the Gosar siblings made an ad attacking their brother. 

Gosar at the time dismissed his siblings as "liberal Democrats who hate President Trump" and are "disgruntled Hillary supporters.... like leftists everywhere, they put political ideology before family."

Or maybe the Gosar siblings just think Paul is a jerk. 

In that 2018 episode, though, Paul Gosar's mom said her son "has done a hell of a job for Arizona and they love him."

I don't think trolling by Gosar's siblings will hurt him that much, given the deeply red district he's from.  But it's pretty telling that not one, but several siblings are after him.  My guess is he's probably not a nice guy. In my opinion, for what it's worth, he's one of the nation's worst congress creatures. That's impressive, as he has a lot of competition.

 Every year for the past I don't know how long now - at least a decade - I've posted Darlene Love's annual TV performance of her classic "Christmas Baby (Please Come Home).   For the past few years, she's done this on the chat fest show, "The View." It isn't happening this year. Yes, Covid got in the way again.  Thankfully and most importantly, Love seems to be A-OK. One of her band members tested positive, so the entire band was quarantined.  In a video i nterview last Friday with The View, Love says she feels fine. She said she's fully vaccinated, had her booster shot, and also a flu shot.  The band member who tested positive with a probable breakthrough infection was also fully vaccinated, rendering that person a bit less likely to spread the virus.  The quarantine was lifted last weekend, and Love was once again able to give public performances. o You can't stop tradition, so I'm using that video for this year's Darlene Love salut

Back To Dumb Criminals:Check Out This Bank Robber

This dude robbed a bank in Delaware, then tried to deposit his loot in the ATM outside the  bank. Surprise! It didn't work.  Say you decide to rob a bank, and you manage to make it out the door with the cash without being shot, arrested or beat up. Then what do you do?   Well, you have to put the money somewhere, right? Personally, I'd hide it somewhere - bury it perhaps? - until the heat was off a little bit, but what do I know? I wouldn't do what this genius did when he robbed a Wilmington, Delaware, as Delaware State Police inform us:  He got the money from a teller, and police pick up the story from there: "The suspect fled the bank on foot, and once outside he made a deposit in the ATM on the exterior of the building. The suspect then continued to flee the scene behind the Prices Corners Shopping Center where he was located by responding troopers and taken into custody without incident." Time To Ban Gender Reveal Parties

A colorful but destructive gender reveal party in Arizona about five years ago. It's a boy! It's also a destructive wildfire that caused $8 million in damage!  In the past month two people have died participating or planning gender reveal parties. It's the latest disaster caused by people trying to outdo each other. Stop!  In recent years these parties started at least two major western wildfires and inspired zillions of gender reveal party pratfall videos.  The problem seems to be the idea has taken off, and people insist that each gender party has to play out much more elaborately than any previous one.   In the most recent incident, a father to be died while working on a device for his child's gender reveal.
