Just When You Thought The Late Alex Trebek Couldn't Get Any Better.......

Much of the late Alex Trebek's wardrobe will be
donated to recovering addicts to wear for
job interviews.
Alex Trebek, the late longtime host of "Jeopardy!" is still beloved by millions of people, including me.

He passed away back in November, but he's still posthumously doing good works.

Always nattily dressed on air, Trebek had a pretty big collection of outfits he wore to work. They're going to good use:

According to CBS News:

"'Hundreds of Trebek's garments were donated to The Doe Fund, an organization that provides paid work, housing vocational training, continuing education and comprehensive social services to underserved Americans with a history of addiction, homelessness and incarceration,' according to a 'Jeopardy!' press release.

The donation included 14 suits, 300 neckties, 15 belts, 58 dress shirts, 25 polo shirts, nine pairs of dress shoes, nine sports coats, two parkas and three pairs of dress slack."

In one of the last episodes of "Jeopardy!" Trebek hosted before his death, he said the following on air:

"This is the season of giving. I know you want to be generous with your family, your friends, your loved ones, but today I'd like to go one step further....I'd like you to open up your hands and open up your harts to those who are still suffering because of Covid 19 - people who are suffering through no fault of their own."

Trebek's family and "Jeopardy!" staffers decided the donation would be a great way to honor the late host.

The people who receive the donations of clothes will wear them to job interviews, and perhaps if hired, to work.

The game show is carrying on for now with a series of guests hosts. Ken Jennings hosted for six weeks, Currently Jeopardy! Executive Producer Mike Richards is guest hosting.

Other guest hosts that are lined up are Katie Couric will do a two week stint starting March 8, followed by Dr. Mehmet Oz for another two weeks starting March 22. Savannah Guthrie, Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta are also lined up as guest hosts.

"Jeopardy!" will donate money to the charity of each host's choosing.
