Covidiot Army Consist Of Life's Losers; Should Get What They Deserve

They all need to be outed and shamed 
for who they are.

Among the most infuriating things about this pandemic is the self-righteous, unpatriotic butt wipes out there who make videos of themselves refusing to wear masks, violating rules and regulation put in place to try and control the pandemic. 

They are the ones who march into stores and restaurants without masks and record themselves making things absolutely horrendous for retail and other customer service workers. 

They have no shame, obviously.

Mean and dumb is probably the worst combination for humans, and these 'Covidiots" as they're called,  fit the bill to a T.

Sure, they're annoying because they get their facts entirely wrong, as stores do not have to honor fake (or even real) medical or religious exemptions to mask requirements. 

The worst part is the emotional abuse these Covidiots inflict on innocent, low wage retail and customer service workers. 

The Covidiots cloak themselves self-righteously on their version of "freedom," but what they are doing -and we all know it - is for their own entertainment and possibly lucrative clicks on their social media platforms.  

Like their hero, Donald Trump, they do it because they get off on cruelty. It's the whole point of their exercises. Too bad only a few Covidiots suffer the consequences of their actions. I certainly don't advocate violence or death threats or anything like that. But their employers, families and friends really ought to know the type of person they're dealing with, right?

Examples of these covidiots abound, as any easy search on YouTube or other social media sites proves. 

Convidiots' justifications for their actions are beyond pathetic. Oh, these morons try. 

Masks somehow take away their "freedom,' as if wearing a minor piece of cloth over their faces for the few minutes in the store is so much worse than having people die painfully over days and weeks on a ventilator in a hospital with no loved ones around. 

We're told by so many experts that shaming and shunning are not the way to go with these Covidiots. We're not even supposed to call them names, as I've been doing here. 

As Yes! Magazine opines: 

"If you call someone a 'Covidiot' or a 'selfish racist,' what are the odds they will engage in a period of deep reflection before giving you a Facebook hug, thanking you for enlightening them, and asking where you can purchase a sweatshop-free mask?"

The empathetic approach suggested hy Yes! makes a lot of sense when dealing with what I would would call regular mask resisters. They've been steeped in misinformation from the media, they've been gaslighted by mendacious politicians, and a lot of them think they're doing the right thing. 

They're basically nice, but misguided people. I can imagine how a compassionate approach might help them understand and accept masks and other anti-Covid precautions. 

However, the people who march into stores and restaurants, iPhone cameras a-blazing, are in a whole other category.  

On a larger scale, the Covidiots who torture waitstaff and such coarsen the whole atmosphere around service industry jobs. 

An organization called One Fair Wage, which advocates for service industry workers, recently released a report on the landscape waitstaff and other restaurant workers face: 

--Eighty-three percent of workers said their tips have declined during Covid-19. Nearly two thirds reported tips declined by at least 50 percent. 

--About 78 percent of workers experienced or saw hostile behavior from customers responding to staff enforcing Covid protocols. Just under 60 percent said they saw this hostility at least weekly. 

--Around 58 percent of these workers said they are reluctant to enforce Covid rules because they're worried customers would tip them less.

So no, I'm not going to find any empathy for those terrible so-called people who cause a scene and inflict such mental harm on service workers. 

Let's face it, these viral anti-maskers are terrorists.  Terrorists aim to cause fear, sadness and anger.  That's just what these covidiots do. 

The Covidiots are simultaneously terroristic and pathetic. On some level, they understand they are the losers in life. They are not smart enough, savvy enough, quick enough to make it life, compared to the rest of us.  This has nothing to do with levels of education. Many covidiots have college degrees, some have doctorates. 

But the army of Covidiots don't have that semi-winning combination most of us have to navigate life. All they can do is lash out to gain a sense of control. So they attempt to control us by disrupting retailers, businesses, us, by their mask avoidance. Like I said, pathetic. 

I''ll repeat: They need to be shamed, and suffer the consequences of their actions. Rejected by their families, employers, friends. They need a taste of their own medicine. They are a cancer on society, and must be treated as such. 

The video below shows two incidents. In the first, a cafe worker somehow maintains her composure for while, but without much support from her manager, starts breaking down in tears and quits on the spot.  

I really feel for her.

The second part of the video is the Denny's wait person mentioned above. She's more angry than defeated, but how dare these anti-maskers do this to her?
