Tiny Owl's Adventure In Rockefeller Center "Charlie Brown" Tree Is Totally 2020

I got a kick out of the story that came out early this month about the tiny owl that was found in the Christmas tree put up in Rockefeller Center in New York.  The tree is a long standing annual tradition.

The fact that the owl had a rough adventure is so 2020. It proves that nothing is easy for anything. Including for that random owl from New York.

The owl was apparently hiding out in the 75-foot Norway spruce when it was cut down in Oneonta, New York, then trucked to the Big City.

Nobody noticed the little northern saw whet owl until workers were unwrapping the tree in Manhattan. Thankfully, the people on the Christmas tree team rescued the

Luckily the owl was just hungry and thirsty, and suffered no injuries.

The owl, now naturally named Rockefeller, was taken to Ravensbeard Wildlife Center in Saugerties, New York where it was given a rodent smorgasbord,  He's now doing well. The wildlife center planned to release Rockefeller back to the wild when he was at full strength and when the weather was good.

I'm sure Rockefeller, though was pretty displeased with the whole shebang.  The year 2020. A wild adventure. Not one that's particularly fun. Just ask Rockefeller.

Here's an Inside Edition news video of the whole affair:
